- Abstract
- These data layers represent zoning for Grant County, Wisconsin in 2016. It is a feature class within the geodatabase 'Grant_Zoning_2016.gdb'. The feature layers included in this geodatabase are "FARMLAND", "FLOODPLAIN", "GENERAL", and "SHORELAND". [This dataset is a polygon feature shapefile representing an inventory of lands in farmland preservation, not in farmland preservation, or farmland unrelated to farmland preservation in Grant County, Wisconsin and its municipalities. This information was collected at local jurisdictional meets for use in Grant County's Farmland Preservation Planning Project in 2010 on behest of Grant County, Wisconsin, and used in creation of Farmland Preservation mapping. This information was collected for compliance with the new Wisconsin Working Lands Initiative - Farmland Preservation law. The collection of this information started late Spring and ended early Fall. This is not an all-inclusive list. This is a dynamic dataset with the ability to up-date on a regular basis by either Grant County or by the Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission at the County's request.]

- This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [This data set was created as a system to visually identify locations of farmland preservation and establish base-farm tracts in Grant County, Wisconsin for planning purposes in the new 2010 Farmland Preservation plan. This information was collected for compliance with the new Wisconsin Working Lands Initiative - Farmland Preservation law and request for certification. It is location specific to parcel level detail. The data are intended for use with ArcView, ArcInfo, or other GIS software which support shapefile format data.]
