- This data represents roads for Vernon County, Wisconsin in 2024. [This data set consists of digital map files containing road centerline information obtained predominantly by heads up digitizing off of ortho imagery, and through previously created datasets maintained by Vernon County. Features contained in the data set include road centerlines countywide and associated attributes and annotation.]
- Purpose
- This data is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overalys and analysis with other spatial data. [This data set was created as a foundational element for the Vernon County Land Information System. The road centerline feature class provides a digital representation of named private roads, public streets, town roads, county roads, state highways, and federal highways within Vernon County. It is typically used in conjunction with other developed digital map data to provide context for vehicular transportation throughout the County. It is also used specifically in conjunction with address structure points and site access points as base data for operation of the County's E911 Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. The road centerline feature class is also intended to be used to enhance and support the maintenance of all other address related information managed within the County.]
